Cadillac Joins Formula 1 in 2026 as America’s New Racing Powerhouse

Cadillac will enter Formula 1 in 2026 as the 11th team on the grid. Backed by General Motors, the new American outfit has already secured major sponsors like Tommy Hilfiger and Jim Beam. With drivers Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Pérez signed, the project has drawn strong commercial interest and national excitement.

The team will operate from two bases: Silverstone in England and Fishers, Indiana. Starting from scratch, it may begin at the back of the grid but aims to compete for podiums and wins within five years.

Cadillac’s entry aligns with Formula 1’s growing U.S. presence, boosted by a new broadcast deal with Apple. The brand plans cross-promotions with Major League Baseball and the NBA to expand the sport’s American fanbase. Sponsorship demand has exceeded expectations, with fans already requesting merchandise.

The team is also seeking a naming rights partner, reportedly asking up to $70 million per year. Its American identity and high-profile driver lineup have fuelled both pride and commercial momentum.

Cadillac’s debut in 2026 marks a major step in Formula 1’s U.S. expansion. With strong backing, top drivers, and ambitious targets, the team aims to establish itself as a competitive force. The project reflects broader American investment in global motorsport.
