Caritas Bocholt files for insolvency but vows to keep services running
Caritas Bocholt, a significant nonprofit welfare organization, has filed for preliminary self-administration insolvency. The request was submitted to Münster District Court by the association’s managing director. Despite the financial setback, all facilities will remain open and continue operating as normal.
The organization provides crucial services across elder care, disability support, and family assistance. However, rising costs and outdated funding rates have placed increasing pressure on its finances. In response, Caritas Bocholt has called for urgent renegotiations with funding agencies.
The insolvency proceedings aim to secure Caritas Bocholt’s future while maintaining its services. Staff salaries remain guaranteed, and daily operations will carry on without disruption. The organization continues to push for fairer funding terms to address long-term financial challenges.
