CDU and CSU aim to resolve pension dispute with Young Union at key conference

The Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and Christian Social Union (CSU) have announced plans to settle their pension dispute with the Young Union (JU) at the upcoming Deutschlandtag conference. A pension commission will be established to tackle these issues, though the chairperson remains unknown.

Parliamentary manager Steffen Bilger has confirmed ongoing discussions about fundamental pension issues beyond 2031. Both parties have agreed to maintain the current pension level until 2031 and to introduce the mothers' pension. The pension commission, yet to have a named chair, will delve deeper into these matters.

The CDU/CSU and JU are set to resolve their pension dispute at the Deutschlandtag conference.
