Brandenburg's Minister-President, Dietmar Woidke (SPD), has also weighed in on the matter. He maintains that cooperation with the AfD could only be considered if the party decisively turns its back on far-right extremism. Woidke's remarks have received support from the CDU. However, the Left Party has accused Woidke of being detached from reality for even considering cooperation with the AfD.
