Cebu City to Inaugurate CBRT Project-Package 1 on Nov 5, 2025

Cebu City is set to inaugurate the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (CBRT) Project-Package 1 on November 5, 2025. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will lead the ceremony, joined by local officials and stakeholders. The event will take place at the Osmeña Boulevard Station, where the President's location will be marked for easy directions.

Before the President's arrival, Mayor Nestor Archival has ensured that road issues and traffic signage along the BRT route will be addressed. The inauguration ceremony will also feature a ceremonial BRT ride, with the President, DOTr Secretary Jaime Bautista, Cebu City officials, and representatives from CIBUS, the Bureau of Fire Protection-Central Visayas, and other partners participating.

Leading up to the launch, another round of route inspection will be conducted in coordination with the DOTr. This will help ensure the project meets all necessary standards and requirements. Stakeholders expected to join the inspection include project managers, technical experts, safety officers, government representatives, corporate partners, local community representatives, environmental experts, and media personnel.

The CBRT Project-Package 1 inauguration is expected to be a significant event, marking a step forward in Cebu City's public transportation infrastructure. With the route inspection and addressal of road issues, the project is poised to launch smoothly, with the support of the President and local government.
