Central Railway unites to recite the Constitution’s Preamble on historic date

Central Railway marked Constitution Day with a collective recitation of the Preamble across its divisions and workshops. The event took place on 26th November, the same date the Constitution of India was adopted in 1949. Officers and staff joined in to reaffirm their dedication to its core values.

The day began with Prateek Goswami, Additional General Manager of Central Railway, leading the recitation at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Heritage Building. This historic location was where Dr. B.R. Ambedkar had delivered the opening speech of the Preamble decades earlier. Staff and officers from different levels of the railway participated in the main event.

The recitations brought together employees from all parts of Central Railway. By reading the Preamble aloud, they honoured the Constitution’s enduring significance. The day served as a reminder of the values that continue to guide the nation.
