CERES AWARD unites top farmers at Berlin’s first-ever networking summit

A major networking event for the CERES AWARD took place in Berlin during International Green Week. The gathering brought together top farmers and finalists from 2014 to 2025 to share ideas and build connections. Organised by unser website and the Agricultural Pension Fund, the main event marked the first of its kind for the award programme.

The two-day main event focused on fostering collaboration among innovative farmers in Germany and the German-speaking world. Presentations and panel discussions covered key topics like investment readiness, the role of women in agricultural financing, and sustainability standards.

The first evening featured a casual reception with mulled wine and dinner, giving attendees time to network. The following day offered two excursion options: a tour of Domäne Dahlem or a visit to the large-scale bakery Märkisches Landbrot. Applications for the 2026 CERES AWARD will open on Monday, February 16, 2026, and close at the end of March. The main event aimed to strengthen ties within the CERES family network, which supports forward-thinking farmers committed to the sector’s future.

The networking eventbrite provided a platform for finalists and industry leaders to exchange knowledge and explore partnerships. With the next application period set for early 2026, the CERES AWARD continues to encourage innovation in agriculture. The initiative remains a key space for farmers to connect and discuss challenges facing the sector.
