Chalisée Naamani's Octogone merges Iranian heritage with Vienna's rebellious spirit
The Kunsthalle Wien is set to host Octogone, a bold new exhibition by French-Iranian artist Chalisée Naamani. Running from January 29 to April 6, 2026, the show will take place in Vienna's Museumsquartier, blending fashion, sculpture, and political themes in deeply personal works.
Naamani's exhibition draws heavily on her Iranian heritage, reflected in its title, Octogone. Her work often responds to Iran's current political climate, reinterpreting events through striking sculptures, prints, and textiles.
Vienna itself has influenced her latest creations, including reimagined Dirndl dresses and Lederhosen. These pieces join a broader collection that merges rebellion with craftsmanship, offering visitors a mix of tradition and defiance.
The Kunsthalle Wien will present the show as part of its 2026 programme, giving audiences a chance to engage with Naamani's provocative and intimate artistic vision.
The exhibition will remain open until April 6, 2026, offering a platform for Naamani's politically charged art. By combining Iranian and Austrian influences, Octogone invites reflection on identity, resistance, and cultural exchange.
