Chicago & Hamburg Launch Innovative Police Trainer Exchange Program
Chicago and Hamburg have launched an innovative police trainer exchange program, building on their city partnership. The annual visits will see trainers from each city teach at the other's police institution, fostering knowledge transfer and mutual understanding.
The exchange program is a result of Hamburg's First Mayor Dr. Peter Tschentscher's visit to Chicago. It is a continuation of the 'Letter of Intent' signed between the two cities, demonstrating their commitment to partnership and mutual appreciation.
Dr. André Malick, deputy head of Hamburg's police academy, expects the exchange to spark innovative solutions and strengthen ties between the police departments. Each participant will teach a lesson at the host institution, facilitating direct knowledge transfer. Hamburg's police department eagerly anticipates the start of the program and its benefits for both cities' police education.
The exchange program, a result of the Chicago-Hamburg city partnership, is set to enhance police education and collaboration. With annual visits of trainers from each city, both Chicago and Hamburg stand to gain from the exchange, fostering mutual understanding and innovative approaches to crime prevention and security maintenance.
