China and Nizhny Novgorod Oblast pledge deeper cultural and educational ties by 2026

A delegation from the Consulate General of China in Kazan recently met with officials from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast to discuss regional cooperation. The talks focused on strengthening ties between Russia and China, with a particular emphasis on educational and cultural exchanges. Both sides reviewed ongoing projects and set priorities for joint initiatives in 2026.

The meeting was attended by Olga Guseva, Minister of International and Interregional Relations of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, and Sergey Malov, a representative of Russia’s Foreign Ministry in the region. Cao Longjuan, Deputy Consul General of China in Kazan, led the Chinese delegation and provided a briefing on China's foreign policies, cultural programs, and strategies for international cooperation.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to expanding cooperation between Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and China. Educational and cultural projects will remain a focus, with plans to develop further joint initiatives by 2026. Both sides reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening ties through dialogue and practical exchanges.
