China, Russia, Kazakhstan to Meet in Manchuria for Key Grain Corridor Talks
Representatives from China, Russia, and Kazakhstan will gather in Manchuria from November 10 to 14 for crucial talks. The meeting aims to discuss the implementation of the Overland Grain Corridor to Manchuria, a key infrastructure project for exporting Russian grain to China. The corridor, which uses the Zabaikalsk-Manchuria border crossing, has already seen its first shipment of Russian soybeans in June 2023. Despite Russian grain accounting for less than 5% of the Chinese market, demand remains substantial. The parties will negotiate the details of the potential talks before the meeting. Representatives of Transbaikalia and Manchuria have been invited to discuss the operation of the corridor. The upcoming meeting in Manchuria is a significant step towards enhancing trade relations between the involved countries. The Overland Grain Corridor is expected to facilitate the export of Russian grain and agricultural products to China, boosting bilateral trade.
