China's New Book Chronicles Historic Poverty Alleviation Under Xi Jinping
A new book documenting China's efforts to reduce poverty has been released nationwide. Published by the Party School of the CPC Central Committee, it details the country's large-scale campaign to lift millions out of hardship under current leadership.
The publication focuses on China's poverty alleviation achievements since 2012. According to official figures, around 800 million people escaped absolute poverty during this period. The government declared the campaign a success in 2021.
The book centres on the role of the CPC Central Committee, led by Xi Jinping. It describes the strategies and policies implemented to tackle poverty across the country. The narrative covers both the challenges faced and the results achieved over nearly a decade.
The work is now available across China after its official release. It provides a detailed account of the government's poverty reduction efforts and their reported outcomes. The book also serves as a record of the policies and leadership behind the campaign.
