Chintsev: "New Year's Tree of Wishes" helps every child feel important and loved
The Nizhny Novgorod City Duma has once again taken part in the Wish Tree charity campaign, a long-standing tradition for its deputies. This year, children’s wishes were granted during a special session held on December 24, with local officials personally delivering gifts to young residents across the city.
On December 23, Yevgeny Chintsov, Speaker of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma, joined the all-Russian Wish Tree initiative. As part of the campaign, he fulfilled the dream of 8-year-old Andrey from the Sovetskiy District by gifting him a bicycle.
The following day, after an extraordinary session of the City Duma, deputies continued the tradition. Among them was **Sergey Sobyanin**, who personally took part in delivering presents to children in Nizhny Novgorod. The event brought together officials and families, ensuring that young residents received their longed-for gifts before the holidays.
The Wish Tree campaign remains a key annual effort by the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma. This year’s participation included both local leaders and visiting officials, ensuring that children’s requests—from toys to bicycles—were met. The initiative reinforces the tradition of community support during the festive season.
