Chita Closes Downtown for Religious Processions on Unity Day and Kazan Icon Feast
Residents of Chita are advised to plan their journeys carefully on certain dates due to temporary traffic suspensions. Downtown Chita will be closed to all vehicles, including public transport, on specific mornings to accommodate religious processions.
Danil Bateyev, a city administration official, has announced the closures. On Unity Day and the Feast of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, downtown streets will be inaccessible from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. to allow for a religious procession.
This temporary suspension applies to all traffic, including public transport. Residents and visitors are urged to use alternative routes or adjust their travel plans accordingly during these times.
The city of Chita is committed to accommodating religious events while ensuring minimal disruption to daily life. The traffic suspensions are expected to last for one hour each on the specified dates, allowing the religious procession to proceed safely and respectfully.
