Christoph Reisinger Named New Editor-in-Chief of Schwäbische Zeitung
Christoph Reisinger has been named the new Editor-in-Chief of the Schwäbische Zeitung in Ravensburg and concurrently Chairman of the Editorial Board of the SV Group. He succeeds Gabriel Kords, who temporarily held the role following the sudden passing of Jürgen Mladek in 2024.
Reisinger brings extensive experience to his new position. He has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Stuttgarter Nachrichten and the Schwarzwälder Bote since 2011. Prior to this, he led the largest publishing newspaper consortium in southern Germany as Editor-in-Chief of the Stuttgarter Nachrichten.
Reisinger's educational background includes studies in history, political science, and Italian, culminating in a doctorate in medieval history. He will continue to be supported by Robin Halle, who remains responsible for topics and deputy editor-in-chief. Carsten Schönebeck will also continue in his role, overseeing organizational matters. The Editorial Board retains Jan David Sutthoff as head of digital media and deputy editor-in-chief.
Lutz Schumacher, CEO of the SV Group, warmly welcomed Reisinger to his new role. Reisinger expressed his pleasure in taking on the new challenges within the SV Group.
