City committees open public meetings next week for resident input

Four city committees will hold public meetings next week, giving residents a chance to engage with local decision-making. Each session includes a public question period at the start, allowing attendees to raise concerns or ask questions directly to officials.

The first meeting takes place on Monday, November 24, at 4:00 PM, when the Operational Committee for Municipal Services gathers at Garbsen Municipal Services. The following day, the Committee for Culture and Sports will meet on Tuesday, November 25, at 6:00 PM in the council chamber of City Hall.

On Wednesday, November 26, the Committee for Urban Development, Construction, Environment, and Climate Protection will convene at 6:00 PM in the same location. The week concludes with the Fire Protection Committee meeting on Thursday, November 27, also at 6:00 PM in the council chamber.

Residents can join sessions held in the council chamber online, but registration is required. To sign up, they must email [email protected] or call (05131) 707-324 or -345 by 12:00 PM on the day of each meeting. Agendas for all discussions are available in the Council Information System on the city’s official website.

The meetings provide an opportunity for public involvement in local governance. Residents must register in advance to participate online or attend in person. All agendas and details remain accessible through the city’s digital platform.
