Truck catches fire on A10 near Mühlenbeck - Cocoa truck fire shuts down Berlin’s A10 motorway for hours
A truck carrying cocoa caught fire on the A10 motorway near Mühlenbeck in northern Berlin. The blaze forced firefighters to close the entire carriageway, causing major delays and a long tailback in the area. The incident began when the truck, driven by a 48-year-old Polish man, experienced a technical defect. He managed to pull over onto the hard shoulder and detach the tractor unit before flames fully engulfed the trailer. Firefighters arrived quickly but had to shut down the roadway in that direction while tackling the fire. The motorway was eventually fully reopened after firefighters completed their work and the wreckage was removed. The driver escaped unharmed, but the incident led to significant disruption for motorists travelling through northern Berlin.
