Colerain Township to Vote on New Supervisor Compensation Ordinance
Colerain Township, with a population of 3,881, is set to consider a new ordinance on November 10, 2025. The ordinance aims to establish annual compensation for township supervisors at $3,145.00, paid monthly in installments of $262.08.
The proposed ordinance is based on Act 94 of 2024, which allows supervisors of townships with up to 4,999 residents to receive such compensation. The public zoom meeting will take place at the Colerain Township Building, located at 1803 Kirkwood Pike, Kirkwood, Pennsylvania, 17536, starting at 7:00 p.m. The text of the ordinance can be reviewed and copies obtained at the township building during regular business hours.
The ordinance, if enacted, will become effective on the same day as the zoom meeting, November 10, 2025. This move aligns with common practices in the U.S. for initiating ordinances, which can be done by the township board, through petitions, or by the township manager or legal counsel.
Colerain Township residents and stakeholders are invited to attend the public zoom meeting to discuss and provide input on the proposed ordinance. The ordinance, if approved, will set the annual compensation for supervisors, aiming to recognize their service and responsibilities.
