As the CEO of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and now the head of ADV, von Massenbach brings a wealth of experience to her new role. Her tenure at BER has been marked by strategic foresight, with the successful opening and transformation of the airport since its inauguration in 2020.

Under her leadership, BER has implemented advanced technologies like AI for passenger communication and operational improvements, as well as the phased rollout of CT scanners. These initiatives have significantly enhanced the passenger experience and airport efficiency, even amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic.

Von Massenbach is also an advocate for pragmatic technological adoption that delivers real value to passengers, airlines, and airport operations. She addresses long-term pressures such as sustainability and digital transformation across the airport ecosystem.

In her new role as ADV president, von Massenbach has voiced the need for regulatory relief and sensible policies to support the aviation sector. She emphasizes countermeasures against excessive taxes and levies to foster growth and stability for airports and the industry in Germany.

Düsseldorf Airport is represented by Lars Redeligx, another vice-president of ADV. The association is now led by a president, vice-presidents, and a chairwoman from Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

The airport association ADV serves as a significant platform for sharing knowledge and best practices among German airports. Von Massenbach's strategic vision and expertise in sustainable airport management will guide the association, further strengthening its position in the aviation industry.

Von Massenbach's leadership is recognised for balancing innovation, operational excellence, and industry advocacy at both the airport and association levels. Her commitment to modern and sustainable airport management is expected to drive positive changes within the ADV and the broader aviation sector.
