This latest case does not appear to be connected to the resident who traveled from Texas, unlike the previous case reported in March 2025. The last case of measles in a Los Angeles County resident was reported a year ago.

Most infections have occurred in individuals who are unvaccinated or whose vaccination status is unknown.
