There are group of people holding placards and walking. These are the trees. I can see small bushes. This is the banner. I can see a building with name boards attached to it. These look like cars. I think these are the current polls.

Congress Launches 'Saurashtra-First' Outreach to Reconnect with Patidar Community

The Congress party is embarking on a strategic outreach campaign to reconnect with the Patidar community in Gujarat. The initiative, dubbed the 'Saurashtra-first' campaign, begins at Khodaldham, the spiritual heart of the Patidar community, and will extend to other locations like Umiya Mata Sansthan and Unjha. The party aims to address political grievances and rebuild trust among Patidar members ahead of local body polls.

The Congress' campaign kicked off with senior leaders visiting the Khodiyar Mata temple and hoisting the party flag at Khodaldham. Key leaders such as Mukul Wasnik, Amit Chavda, and Tushar Chaudhary will engage in strategy meetings with Patidar leaders to discuss political concerns and expectations. The party is addressing internal discontent among Patidar leaders following the resignation of Shaktisinh Gohil and the appointment of Amit Chavda as his successor.

In addition to this outreach, the Congress will organize a farmers' conference in Botad. This event aims to connect with distressed agrarian communities and position the party as a voice of empathy and accountability. The party is focusing on issues such as agrarian distress, unemployment, and rural neglect to resonate with the Patidar vote base.

Through this 'Saurashtra-first' campaign, the Congress seeks to restore faith, inclusion, and a sense of political belonging among the Patidar community. The party aims to signal that it has not forgotten its once loyal Patidar base and to rekindle trust among community members ahead of local body polls.
