Constitutional Order for Florian David Fitz and Tobias Krell - Constitutional Order for Florian David Fitz and Tobias Krell
Two well-known figures in German entertainment have been recognised for their contributions to society. Actor Florian David Fitz and television presenter Tobias Krell were awarded the Bavarian Constitutional Order in 2022. The honour came after their nomination by Winfried Kretschmann, Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg, who oversees state distinctions in the region.
The Bavarian Constitutional Medal, created in 1961, celebrates individuals who actively support the values of Bavaria’s constitution. Each year, no more than 50 people receive this award. In 2022, 42 recipients were honoured, including comedian Django Asül, actor Heiner Lauterbach, and footballer Giulia Gwinn.
Fitz and Krell received their awards separately from the main ceremony, which took place on December 4. Landtag President Ilse Aigner commended the pair for their ability to engage with the world beyond their public roles. The award not only recognises their past work but also encourages them to continue upholding constitutional principles in the future.
The Bavarian Constitutional Order remains one of the state’s highest honours. Fitz and Krell join a select group of individuals recognised for their dedication to civic values. Their inclusion highlights the award’s focus on both public influence and personal commitment.
