On the night of September 7, 2025, police officers from the PI Verden town center in Wahnebergen controlled a 25-year-old driver who was driving at high speed during another incident. The driver's license presented was found to be a forgery, and a subsequent test revealed the influence of alcohol and narcotics in the driver. As a result, the driver was required to undergo a blood test and was prohibited from continuing his journey. The primarily affected top-floor apartment and the apartment below it sustain significant property damage, and the driver now faces several criminal proceedings.

Meanwhile, in Thedinghausen, a fire broke out in the kitchen of a top-floor apartment in Bahnhofstraße on Saturday morning. The fire was contained before it spread to the entire building, but five residents of the residential complex suffered minor injuries from inhaling smoke. Elsewhere, on Saturday evening, an 18-year-old crashed his bicycle while on his way home from a harvest festival in Blender, resulting in facial injuries.
