Courageous Women Exhibition Opens in Halle (Saale) to Combat Violence Against Women
The 'Courageous Women: Pathways Out of Violence' travelling exhibition opens on November 6, 2025, at 7 p.m. in Halle (Saale)'s Marktkirche. Hosted by the Marktkirche congregation, Halle's Equal Opportunities Officer Daniela Suchantke, and the Evangelical Women in Central Germany, the exhibition aims to raise awareness about violence against women.
The exhibition runs from November 6 to 21, with varying opening hours. Guided tours and discussions for school classes will be offered daily from November 10, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The launch event includes a supporting program and a panel discussion with experts.
On November 25, from 12 p.m. to around 4 p.m., Daniela Suchantke and network representatives will provide details about the initiative at the Halle-Silberhöhe Health Center. Coinciding with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, bakeries across the city will distribute bread bags with information on support services for domestic and sexualized violence. The same day, the Violence Protection Network is organizing the 'Violence Doesn’t Come in a Bag' campaign.
A book reading with author Melina Bura will take place on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 5 p.m. at the Weiberwirtschaft Women’s Center.
The 'Courageous Women' exhibition in Halle (Saale) seeks to empower and support women affected by violence. Through educational tours, community engagement, and expert discussions, the event encourages dialogue and action towards eliminating violence against women.
