Court Slams Deutsche Telekom for False Claims Against DNS:NET in Fibre Battle

The Berlin Regional Court has ruled in favour of DNS:NET in a dispute with Deutsche Telekom over misleading statements. The case centred on claims Telekom made about DNS:NET’s business practices in Berlin’s Altglienicke district. The court found Telekom’s remarks anti-competitive and ordered them to stop repeating false allegations.

The conflict began on 9 July 2025, when Telekom publicly accused DNS:NET of spreading false information. It alleged that DNS:NET’s door-to-door sales agents had misled customers by suggesting they could easily return to a Telekom fibre plan after two years. Telekom denied any cooperation agreement with DNS:NET, stating such a switch would be impossible.

The decision forces Telekom to retract its allegations and avoid similar statements in the future. DNS:NET can now continue its network expansion in Altglienicke without the threat of misleading competition. The court’s ruling also sets a precedent for fair business conduct in the local fibre market.
