Swedish Royals Arrive in South Korea - Crown Princess Victoria & Prince Daniel Strengthen Sweden-Korea Ties
Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden have concluded a multi-day visit to South Korea, following a trip to Japan. Their visit aimed to bolster bilateral relations with the Republic of Korea and solidify Sweden's position as a key partner in the southwest region.
The royals began their southwest visit by honouring the past. They met with President Lee Jae-myung and laid a wreath at the National Cemetery in Seoul. They also paid respects to the victims of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima during their Japan visit.
Victoria and Daniel engaged with the future as well. They will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Swedish field hospital in Busan on Friday. Earlier in the week, they met with South Korean entrepreneurs in technology, energy, music, and film, fostering potential collaborations.
The couple also explored the cultural and natural wonders of both nations. In Japan, they visited the Expo 2025 world exposition in Osaka and the scenic islands of Naoshima and Teshima. In South Korea, they visited the Swedish border guards between North and South Korea.
The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel's visit has further strengthened the ties between Sweden and South Korea. Their meetings with high-ranking officials, entrepreneurs, and cultural experiences have reinforced the commitment to bilateral relations and positioned Sweden as an important partner in the southwest region.
