Crystal meth smuggled in underwear sparks German drug bust

Customs officers at Erfurt’s main office uncovered crystal meth hidden in a man’s underwear. The 28-year-old, from the Plauen district, was travelling with a 26-year-old Czech driver when the drugs were found. Authorities have since launched a criminal investigation.

The incident began when the two men entered Germany by car. During a routine check, customs officers searched the 28-year-old and discovered a clip packet in his underwear. The packet contained five grams of crystal meth.

The 28-year-old now faces a criminal investigation. The seized crystal meth will remain in custody as evidence. Authorities have not disclosed whether additional charges or arrests are expected.
