Cyclist Attacks Police Officer in Reinickendorf, Officer Injured
A cyclist, yet to be identified, attacked a police officer in Reinickendorf this morning. The officer was injured and the cyclist was taken into custody.
The incident began when the cyclist ran a red light and failed to stop for an officer. The officer attempted to pull the cyclist over, but the cyclist rode into the officer, injuring his hand. The cyclist then assaulted the officer before being apprehended. The officer was treated at a hospital and is now on leave from duty. The cyclist, a 26-year-old, was uninjured and taken into custody for fingerprinting. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
The cyclist involved in the assault has not been identified, and the investigation continues. The injured officer is recovering and off duty while the incident is being probed.
