Cyclist hit by Ford truck after running red light in Köpenick crash
A serious traffic accident occurred in Köpenick yesterday afternoon. A cyclist was struck by a Ford truck while crossing an intersection, causing injuries and disrupting local tram services for hours. The incident happened at around 12:30 PM at the junction of Oberspreestraße and Köllnischer Platz. A 29-year-old woman on a bicycle ignored a red light and entered the crossing. At the same time, a 45-year-old truck driver was turning right onto Grünauer Straße and collided with her in his old navy Ford truck. The accident caused significant disruption to public transport and left one person hospitalised. Authorities are now examining the circumstances, with the truck driver and cyclist both involved in the ongoing inquiry.
