Cyprus opens new visa centre in Minsk for easier travel access
A new Cyprus visa application centre opens in Minsk today. The facility will handle short-stay visa requests for travellers heading to the Mediterranean island. Though Cyprus is an EU member, it remains outside the Schengen Zone, meaning separate entry rules apply.
The centre, operated by VFS Global, is located at 8-2 Tolstoy Street. Applicants can submit documents without needing a prior appointment for Type C (short-stay) visas. Fees vary by age: children between six and 11 pay €45, while those 12 and older are charged €90.
The new centre simplifies access for Belarusian applicants seeking entry to Cyprus. With no appointment required for short-stay visas, the process aims to be straightforward. The facility’s opening follows existing EU visa policies, though Cyprus maintains its own border controls.
