Czech Man Caught at German Border with Suspected Stolen Goods
Last night, officers from the Federal Police Inspectorate Chemnitz stopped a 26-year-old Czech national attempting to cross the border on foot at the Olbernhau/Branda border crossing. A search of his bags revealed several Adidas sportswear items with price tags and an unopened JBL speaker, which he could not prove ownership of or provide a receipt for.
The man's previous involvement in theft-related offenses raised suspicions. Officers suspected theft and contacted the local police in Marienberg, who reported a theft at a sports store that afternoon. Following the control by the Federal Police Office in Chemnitz, the Marienberg police station took over the suspicion of theft against the Czech man. The local police will now investigate the case further.
