Emirates has made a significant stride in its regional expansion, as the Airbus A350 now serves Muscat International Airport, joining a group of cities that includes Kuwait, Dammam, and Amman. This development marks the airline's commitment to enhancing connectivity and offering a superior travel experience.

As of early July 2025, Emirates has launched daily Airbus A350 services on the Dubai-Muscat route. The deployment was initially scheduled for July 1 but was expedited due to high demand between the two cities. Flight EK 866 departs Dubai at 2:15 AM, arriving in Muscat at 3:30 AM, while the return flight EK 867 departs Muscat at 4:40 AM, landing in Dubai at 5:55 AM.

The schedule is designed to facilitate smooth connections in Dubai for onward travel to Emirates' extensive global network, spanning destinations across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. Emirates aims to serve up to 17 destinations worldwide with the A350 fleet by the end of 2025, adding more capacity as demand grows.

The Airbus A350 features a three-class layout, accommodating 312 passengers with 32 lie-flat Business Class seats, 21 Premium Economy seats, and 259 Economy seats. The aircraft offers improved comfort and space, with higher ceilings, wider aisles, and enhanced seat ergonomics across all cabins.

Passengers can enjoy Emirates' award-winning in-flight entertainment system, featuring cinematic viewing, upgraded cabin lighting, and high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity. The early arrival and departure times also optimise passenger convenience, allowing seamless connections through Dubai International Airport, one of the world’s busiest hubs.

To cater to peak summer demand, Emirates has added two extra weekly flights between Dubai and Muscat, operating on Thursdays and Saturdays. This move underscores Emirates' commitment to the Omani market.
