Danish Foreign Minister Wants to Meet His Facebook Critics - Danish PM invites critics to pre-election meeting in Sønderborg

Former Danish Prime Minister and current Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen has invited critics to a meeting in Sønderborg this Saturday. The event comes ahead of Tuesday's local elections, where Rasmussen's Moderates party is contesting seats for the first time.

Rasmussen, who previously served as Prime Minister from 2009 to 2011 and 2015 to 2019, created a Facebook group called 'All of Us Who Hate Lars Løkke' to engage with his critics. He has scheduled a meeting in Copenhagen for Saturday evening to listen to their grievances.

The meeting will take place at the Sønderborg Town Hall, where the first gathering of the Facebook group will occur. This comes as Denmark prepares for the Kommunalwahlen on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. These elections will determine the members of the 98 communal councils, including the Sønderborg City Council, shaping local politics for the next four years.

Lars Løkke Rasmussen, a prominent Danish politician, is reaching out to his critics ahead of the crucial local elections. By inviting them to meet in person, he aims to understand their concerns and address them directly. The Moderates party, founded by Rasmussen in 2022, is participating in these elections for the first time, seeking to make an impact on local governance.
