Daria Dontsova named acting head of Roskomnadzor's Komi Directorate
Daria Dontsova has taken over as acting head of Roskomnadzor’s Directorate for the Republic of Komi. The appointment came on 10 March 2026, replacing Viktoria Pimenova in the role. Dontsova brings over a decade of experience in law, civil service, and regulatory oversight to the position. Born in 1989 in the Republic of Komi, Dontsova began her career in law after graduating from the Komi Republican Academy of Public Administration and Management in 2012. She worked briefly as a lawyer in commercial firms before joining Roskomnadzor’s Komi Directorate in January 2015.
By 2015, she had also completed a second degree in human resources management from Vyatka State University. Her rise within the agency continued in February 2018, when she became head of the Department for Personal Data Protection and IT Oversight. In November 2020, Dontsova was promoted to deputy director of the Komi Directorate. She currently holds the civil service rank of 1st Class Advisor of the Russian Federation, reflecting her seniority in the regulatory body.
Dontsova’s latest appointment marks a new phase in her career within Roskomnadzor. Her legal background and years of service in data protection and oversight will shape her leadership in the Komi Directorate. The transition follows her predecessor’s departure earlier this month.
