Davao City honors six centenarians with cash and recognition awards
The City Government of Davao has awarded cash incentives and recognition to six centenarians in its latest disbursement. The event took place on November 28, 2025, as part of an ongoing programme to honour elderly residents. Officials reminded families to complete paperwork for centenarian relatives before their 100th birthday to qualify for benefits.
The six centenarians came from the districts of Toril B, Talomo A, Tugbok, and City Poblacion-A. Each received a P100,000 cash gift, a plaque of recognition, and essential goods. These rewards were distributed under City Ordinance No. 0727-21, passed in 2021 to celebrate and support residents reaching 100 years old.
The cash incentives and recognition plaques will continue to be awarded to eligible centenarians under the 2021 ordinance. Families must submit requirements ahead of time to avoid complications. The programme remains a key initiative to honour Davao City’s oldest residents.
