David Weise reappointed as Wolfsburg’s district chimney sweep master for seven more years

David Weise has been reappointed as the authorised district chimney sweep master for Wolfsburg. His new seven-year term begins on January 1, 2026. The decision was announced at a formal ceremony attended by local officials and guild representatives.

The reappointment covers Weise’s responsibility for several Wolfsburg neighbourhoods, including Fallersleben, Hattorf, and Heiligendorf. His district also extends to areas like Beienrode, Flechtorf, and Klein Brunsrode. The role carries significant public safety duties, from fire prevention to environmental protection and household inspections.

City Councilor Andreas Bauer praised Weise for his dedicated, conscientious, and reliable service. Christian Malak, master of the Braunschweig Chimney Sweep Guild, also spoke at the event. He highlighted the importance of Weise’s work and the strong cohesion within the guild. In addition to Weise’s reappointment, Markus Steuer will continue as the district chimney sweep master for Wolfsburg city itself. His term also runs for seven years, starting on the same date. Wolfsburg’s supervisory authority further oversees chimney sweep operations in several nearby municipalities.

The reappointments ensure continuity in chimney sweep services across Wolfsburg and its surrounding areas. Weise and Steuer will maintain their roles in upholding safety standards for years to come. Their work remains essential for fire prevention, environmental compliance, and household protection.
