DBU Berlin Launches New Certificate Programs in Digital and Personal Branding
The Digital Business University of Applied Sciences (DBU) in Berlin has launched two new certificate programs: Online Marketing Expert and Personal Branding Expert. These courses aim to help professionals boost their visibility and reputation in the digital economy. Led by Prof. Dr. Franziska Leonhardt and Vincent Sünderhauf, the programs blend theory with hands-on experience to address real-world challenges.
The Online Marketing Expert program focuses on digital brand positioning, customer acquisition through SEO, and social media strategies. Leonhardt and Sünderhauf stress that building trust matters more than chasing high reach. Sünderhauf also highlights a common misconception: many assume technical skills alone drive success, or that personal expertise is enough for leadership. Instead, he argues that strong SEO rankings come from relevant content marketing—not shortcuts—and that transparency is key in reputation management.
These new certificate programs expand DBU’s offerings in the digital economy. Participants will gain skills in digital marketing and personal branding, with an emphasis on trust, relevance, and transparency. The courses are now available for professionals looking to strengthen their digital presence and leadership.
