Ground Floor Apartment on Fire - Man Missing - Deadly apartment fire in Betzdorf leaves one missing and several injured
A fire broke out in a ground-floor apartment in Betzdorf, Westerwald, on the evening of November 18, 2025. Emergency services received the call around 8:00 PM, with thick smoke quickly filling the multi-family building. Several residents suffered injuries, and one man remains missing as firefighting efforts continue.
The blaze started in a ground-floor flat, which was soon completely engulfed in flames. Neighbouring apartments and parts of the building also sustained damage, though the full extent remains unclear.
