Deadly Apollo Beach shooting leaves one dead, another injured in targeted attack
A man has died and a woman was injured after a shooting in Apollo Beach early Sunday morning. The incident took place near the 5000 block of White Chicory Drive, with both victims later found in a vehicle off 19th Avenue Northeast in Ruskin.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office discovered the victims inside a car in a ditch. The male driver was rushed to a nearby hospital but died from his gunshot wounds. The female passenger survived and remains in stable condition.
Authorities have not yet released the names of those involved. As of 16 March 2026, the investigation continues with no arrests made. Officials have described the shooting as targeted and are asking the public for information via their hotline.
