Two long-serving volunteers in the Offenbach district have received official recognition for their dedication. Gisela Schobbe and Dietrich Egner were presented with the Hessian Certificate of Honor by District Administrator Oliver Quilling. Their decades of work have shaped local politics and community services in Mainhausen.
Gisela Schobbe has spent over 20 years on Mainhausen’s municipal council, currently serving on its executive board. Before this, she led Rodgau’s Hainhausen neighbourhood as district mayor for 12 years. She also chaired the local SPD branch for 16 years, playing a key role in party and community decisions.
The awards recognise Schobbe and Egner’s lasting impact on Mainhausen’s governance and environment. Their roles in local politics and public services have helped maintain community spaces and civic engagement. The Hessian Certificate of Honor formally acknowledges their decades of unpaid service.
