DEGEWO Adds 181 Affordable Apartments to Berlin-Lankwitz
DEGEWO has completed a significant housing project in Berlin-Lankwitz, adding 181 new rental houses for rent to the city's inventory. Half of these houses for rent will be subsidized by the state, offering affordable housing at 6.50 euros per square meter (net cold rent). The first tenants can move in as early as August.
The new houses for rent cater to diverse demographics. A total of 113 units are designed for seniors, ensuring they have access to comfortable and suitable houses for rent. The remaining 68 houses for rent are intended for families, singles, and students, rented at a net cold rent of 11.50 euros per square meter.
DEGEWO's plans for affordable houses for rent in Berlin's south continue. They aim to build 350 more houses for rent at the Lichterfelder Ring and another 250 at the Westfalenring in Lichterfelde. While the architect for the Lichterfelder Ring project has not been publicly disclosed, the company is committed to expanding affordable houses for rent options in the city.
DEGEWO's recent completion in Berlin-Lankwitz brings much-needed affordable houses for rent to the city. With half of the houses for rent subsidized and ready for occupancy in August, it caters to seniors and other residents. The company's plans for further expansion in the south of Berlin indicate a continued commitment to providing affordable houses for rent options.
