Denmark’s Ambassador to Sign Chemnitz’s Golden Book Ahead of EU Presidency
Denmark’s Ambassador to Germany, Thomas Østrup Møller, will visit Chemnitz on November 24. The trip includes a signing ceremony at the city’s Town Hall and a public discussion on Europe’s future. Denmark is also set to take over the EU Council Presidency in late 2025.
Ambassador Møller’s schedule begins at 3:00 PM with the signing of Chemnitz’s Golden Book. The ceremony will take place in the Green Salon of Chemnitz Town Hall, hosted by Lord Mayor Sven Schulze. Media representatives have been invited to cover the event.
The visit highlights Denmark’s growing role in European affairs, particularly ahead of its EU Council Presidency in the second half of 2025. Both the signing ceremony and the public discussion aim to strengthen ties between Chemnitz, Saxony, and Danish representatives.
