"Bio-Pioneer" - Founder of Denree Group Dies - Denree Group Founder Thomas Greim Passes Away at 73
Thomas Greim, the visionary founder of Denree Group, has passed away at the age of 73. Greim, who shaped Germany’s organic sector over five decades, leaves behind a thriving business that generates around €1.5 billion in annual revenue. Since January 2025, two of his eight children, Mareike and Joseph Nossol, have taken the helm of the company.
Denree Group, established in 1974, is a leading wholesale distributor of organic food and natural cosmetics. The company supplies organic supermarkets and operates its own retail stores under the Denn's Biomarkt brand. With approximately 8,200 employees, Denree Group has grown significantly under Greim's leadership.
Greim's children, Mareike and Joseph Nossol, have stepped into their new roles with determination. They aim to continue their father's legacy, building on the company's strong foundation and commitment to organic and sustainable products.
Thomas Greim's passing marks the end of an era in Germany's organic sector. However, his vision lives on through Denree Group, now guided by the next generation. The company remains committed to its mission, supplying organic products and operating retail stores, with an annual revenue of around €1.5 billion.
