DFB unveils new logo and leadership shifts in 125th-anniversary reboot

The German Football Association (DFB) is set to undergo a change in leadership and branding. President Bernd Neuendorf is running uncontested for re-election, while a new logo has been unveiled to mark the organisation's 125th anniversary. Neuendorf, who has been at the helm since 2022, will serve a four-year term following his unopposed re-election. Meanwhile, the only contested race is for vice president, with incumbent Silke Sinning facing off against Silke Raml, the deputy president of the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) and candidate of the South German Football Association (SFV). In a bid to modernise the organisation, Neuendorf plans to create a new vice presidency for strategy. The DFB has also introduced a new logo, designed to represent clarity, innovation, and modernity. The logo features three interlocking green lines, symbolising the organisation, society, and sport. The old logo's black-red-gold stripes, traditional symbols of German national identity, have been removed. With Neuendorf's re-election and the introduction of a new vice presidency, the DFB looks set to embrace a new era. The organisation's fresh logo, marking its 125th anniversary, reflects a commitment to modernisation and innovation. The upcoming vice presidential race between Sinning and Raml promises to shape the DFB's future direction.
