Dhaka University and UnitedHealthcare forge research and training partnership

Dhaka University’s Faculty of Pharmacy has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with UnitedHealthcare Limited. The agreement, finalised on Wednesday, aims to strengthen ties between academia and industry through joint research and training. The signing took place at the dean’s office on 28 August 2019. Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Md Selim Reza, and UnitedHealthcare Limited’s managing director, Md Halimuzzaman, officially inked the deal. Several department chairpersons and professors from the university attended the ceremony. The MoU outlines plans for collaborative research projects and training programmes. Both parties will also share information and data on technological advancements and innovation. The partnership is designed to foster closer cooperation between the pharmaceutical faculty and the private sector. The agreement sets a framework for ongoing collaboration between Dhaka University and UnitedHealthcare Limited. Research initiatives and knowledge exchange will now proceed under the terms of the newly signed MoU.
