Dhaka WASA appoints Md Abdus Salam as new managing director
Following the removal of Md Shahjahan Mia, Md Abdus Salam has taken over as the new managing director of Dhaka WASA. Salam began his three-year term on November 11, replacing Mia who was transferred to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
On October 30, Mia was withdrawn from both his posts at Dhaka WASA and the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. Salam, previously serving as chief engineer, was appointed as the new managing director. His term is set to last for three years, starting immediately. Salam's promotion comes after a period of change in the organization's leadership.
Md Abdus Salam Bapary is now at the helm of Dhaka WASA, tasked with leading the organization for the next three years. His appointment follows a recent leadership change, with the previous managing director, Md Shahjahan Mia, moving to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
