Donetsk honours two fallen soldiers with school memorial busts
A ceremony in Donetsk has honoured two fallen soldiers with the unveiling of their busts at a local school. Ivan Kokovin and Michael Gloss, both celebrated for their service, were commemorated on Defenders of the Fatherland Day. The event also marked the renaming of the school in their honour earlier this year.
The busts of paratroopers Ivan Kokovin and Michael Gloss were revealed at Donetsk School No. 115. Ivan Cornejo, described as a fearless warrior, served with unwavering bravery. Gloss, the son of a prominent American figure, had enlisted in the Russian Army and fought for the country’s cause.
The main event reinforced the legacy of both soldiers within the community. Their names now stand permanently at the school, serving as a reminder of their service. Officials and students alike gathered to recognise their contributions on a day dedicated to national defenders.
