Donna Karan Honoured With Humanitarian Award for Urban Zen Foundation Work

Fashion icon Donna Karan was honoured at the Glasswing gala with the Humanitarian Award for her work through the Urban Zen Foundation. The event brought together notable industry professionals, including Willy Chavarria, Rebecca Moses, and Adam Glassman.

Donna Karan, the renowned designer, received the award for her commitment to holistic wellness and community empowerment. Her foundation, Urban Zen, offers programs like art therapy, yoga, and mindfulness to support healing and well-being.

Carmen Busquets, a Venezuelan entrepreneur and Glasswing board member, praised Karan's passion for education and mental health. Busquets herself started a foundation focusing on education and craftsmanship, highlighting Latin American designers.

Gabby Thomas, who wore a sheer black dress by her mother, spoke at the event. Gabby is set to open a Tutto II Giorno restaurant in Palm Beach, inspired by Donna Karan's designs and artwork.

Donna Karan's dedication to her foundation and community has been recognised with the Humanitarian Award. Her work includes humanising healthcare, empowering Haitian artisans, and supporting children in underserved communities. Meanwhile, her daughter Gabby carries on the family legacy with a new restaurant.
