Dr. Michael Heidinger honored for decades of public service in Germany

Dr. Michael Heidinger, a long-serving public figure in Dinslaken, has been honoured with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. The award recognises his decades of exceptional commitment to the common good, both locally and internationally.

A naval captain in the German Armed Forces Reserve, Dr. Heidinger has fostered cross-border cooperation through visits to Dinslaken's twin city of Agen. His voluntary engagement has been supported by the Bundeswehr Reserve, the ABC Defense Command, the Dinslaken Fire Department, and the German War Graves Commission.

His dedication to social and cultural organisations is notable. He has actively supported the Dinslaken Fire Department and the German War Graves Commission.

Dr. Heidinger's award was presented by Duisburg Lord Mayor Soren Link in a ceremonial event. His promotion of cross-border cooperation, sustainable urban development, and support for various organisations reflect his outstanding service to the community and the nation.
