Driver Dies After Car Crashes into Kindergarten in Pankow
A tragic traffic incident occurred in Pankow yesterday afternoon, resulting in the death of a driver. The accident took place on Pestalozzistraße around 5:30 PM, involving a 59-year-old woman who drove into a courtyard.
The driver, who later succumbed to her injuries, initially sustained life-threatening wounds. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but unfortunately passed away. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by a specialized unit of Police Directorate 1 (North).
The driver's vehicle accelerated and broke through the fence of a kindergarten playground before colliding with a stone wall. The kindergarten is located in Sommerkahl, where a separate case involving kindergarten employees was under investigation. However, no direct connection between the ongoing case and the tragic accident has been established.
